Wind Utilities

As part of the translation of the Wind game demo by No Name Losers and the Wind Translation Project, I created a small package of utilities to unpack and repack the game data files and to assist in substituting English text for the original Japanese.

If anyone is interested in this, you can download the utilities and associated documentation here:

README.TXT

This version is an update from my original release. It now supports extraction and substitution of text from in-game choice points, splitting of text blocks over four lines long automatically, and most importantly, the recalculation of all known internal file offsets to accomodate the changed length of substituted text.

In other words, this version of the utilities should now work on the full Wind game's data files as well as the demo's without difficulty.

NEW: The utilities have underdone another minor update to account for the data format in the v1.02 Wind update, which introduced a single instance of a new scripting command. The character names have also been tweaked a little bit based on the ongoing translation effort.

Any bug reports or inquiries can be directed to me at ed-at-chibinochoco-dot-org (stupid spam bots).
